Neurodivergent Corner
Being diagnosed autistic (and currently undergoing ADHD diagnosis) in my late 20s was a wild ride. Lots of appointments, money, self-assessments and quizzes. So many quizzes.
After all that, I managed to secure NDIS funding to assist in my everyday life, where I've learnt so many new things about myself.
I am well aware I come from a place of privilege in being able to access funding in this way, where I can see allied health practitioners I otherwise wouldn't be able to afford like psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, etc. And I want to pass on some of the information and education that has helped me in so many ways.
In sessions with my psychologist and OT last year, I developed emotional regulation flowcharts, meltdown management systems, and weekly to do charts that have helped me in my daily life. I want to share this information with you all in a general way, so keep an eye out in the near future for downloadable flowcharts, worksheets, information sheets, and even physically printed To Do Lists that also prioritise emotional and physical health.
I will be offering a pay-it-forward model to those who are suffering financial hardship and cannot afford to pay for these allied health sessions, or afford the resources I will be sharing.
Feel free to keep this tab open on your browser & check it every week or so to see if anything new pops up here, or register your email below so I can notify you when a new resource becomes available.
