Why Doesn't ETC Body Offer Bundle Discounts on Multiple Bars of Soap or Other Products? Why Doesn't ETC Body do sales?
There are multiple factors that go into our pricing decisions. Ultimately it comes down to that fact that we don't artificially inflate our prices to accommodate bundle discounts like that. It's the same reason we don't do sales. If we're reducing the price of something, that's the actual value we place on it. If you're constantly waiting for a business to put their products on sale, what's the real price it's worth? We want you to keep coming back and not get upset that you had to pay full price on something that goes on sale a week later. Nothing's changed about the product to validate the change in price, so why do some people have to pay more than others?
Why Doesn't ETC Body Offer Shipping Outside of Australia?
Short answer: International shipping laws, Australia Post rules, and import tarriffs, laws, and taxes are incredibly detailed and hard to understand when figuring it out as just one person.
Long answer: Some countries don't allow particular body products to be imported. I have to go through every individual country to figure out what I'm allowed to post. Pure essential oils are classed as flammable and therefore cannot be posted overseas via plane (and shipping via boat is restricted and takes months). Every country (and some states, like in the USA) have weird tax regulations that are complicated to understand. For some countries, even the information regarding their importing rules are impossible to find by myself. There is a lot of back of house admin that needs to be done to set up separate online 'markets' that won't accidentally sell someone overseas an essential oil blend. Then there's the tarriffs which is something that is continually changing and hard to keep on top of. There are a lot of moving parts and a ridiculous amount of work and understanding involved in setting it up, and if I get anyhting wrong ETC Body (i.e. Eric) could be fined a lot of money.
Ingredients & Allergens
There may be traces of animal milks, honey, botanicals, essential oils, gluten (oats), coffee, real fruit and vegetables (cucumber, watermelon, etc), and nuts (walnut, etc). While we thoroughly wash all of our tools between uses, some allergens stick around (like gluten). If you are anaphylactic to any ingredients we list throughout the website, we recommend contacting us before purchase.

What is the Difference Between 'Made To Order' Products & 'Pre-Orders'?
'Made To Order' products differ from 'Pre-Ordered' products as we will make 'Made To Order' items as soon as possible, whereas 'Pre-Order' have a predetermined future dispatch date. 'Pre-Orders' will generally be for soap bars due to the time needed for curing.
Any orders placed with products that are not 'Made to Order', or 'Pre-Order' will be shipped once all products from the order are ready. This is the standard way we will be processing and shipping orders in order to minimise your shipping costs. If you wish to have in stock items shipped earlier than your 'Made to Order' or 'Pre-Order' items, you can check them out separately, but will need to pay shipping for each order.
Eg. you order a shower steamer pack that is 'Made to Order' (dispatch within 5 days), a soap that is 'Pre-Order' (dispatch in 4 weeks), and a lip balm that is in stock now. All three of those items will be shipped together in 4 weeks once the soap is ready. If you want to receive your lip balm & shower steamer before the 4 week Pre-Order, you can order those two items together, and the soap separately. The lip balm & shower steamer will be sent out within 5 days and the soap will be sent out 4 weeks from your order date. As they have been sent out in two separate packages, shipping is paid on each order.
Soap Weight
Our soaps are weighed after the 6-8 week curing process just as they are ready for sale. Our labelling will say something like "125g at packaging", which means when we weighed the bar, it was 125g.
However, while it sits on our shelves waiting for you to buy it, it continues to cure (ie. water continues evaporating). This results in a harder and longer lasting bar, but also means that your soap will weigh a little less than advertised.
Essential Oils in Lip Balms
The amount of essential oils used in our lip balms are safe for your lips; this has been approved by our insurance (who are incredibly particular about what they will & won't cover).
If you have any allergies, we always recommend testing a product in a discreet area before use.
