Care & Usage Instructions

Beard Oil

Add a few drops of oil to your fingertips & massage into your beard & skin to help keep moisturised. Wipe any excess off with a damp cloth. We recommend finishing the bottle within a year of purchase to ensure the ingredients are as fresh as possible.

Ceramics

Each ceramic piece is hand made with care, and although they are microwave and dishwasher safe, hand-washing is recommended to ensure longevity.

Ceramic pieces, although they can last for thousands of years, need to be handled with care to minimise breakages.

Deodorant Paste

With your finger or our bamboo spatula, scoop out some paste (no more than pea-size) and rub into your clean & dry armpits until it is gone.
During cooler months, leave the paste to warm up under your armpits before rubbing in. We recommend brushing your teeth while waiting.
Please note our deodorant is not an anti-perspirant. We recommend using within 6-9 months of purchase to ensure the strength of the scent.

Essential Oil Blends & Incense Sticks

Please Note: our 100% pure essential oils are not for use on or in your body! Some oils are also not safe to use around pets; we recommend speaking to a vet before using.

Add approximately 5 drops per 100ml to a diffuser & enjoy the relaxing smells. You may also add a few drops to an oil burner. We always recommend testing softly (1-2 drops) before building up to make sure you're not overwhelmed by the scent.
Keep out of direct sunlight to ensure the oils to not deteriorate in quality over time.

Incense Sticks are made by infusing the combustible material with essential oils. Each stick will burn for approximately 1 hour. Please do not burn unattended.

Face Masks & Clay Cubes

Powder Face Masks: add your choice of water, hydrosol (floral water), carrier oil (jojoba, avocado, sweet almond, etc), or any other liquid to the powder to create a paste as thick or thin as you prefer. Apply to your face & let dry. Wipe off with a warm, damp cloth & follow up with a moisturiser. The ingredients may clump if exposed to high humidity environments.

Clay Cubes: wet your face & cube. Wipe the cube over your face until you have a thin coat. You can make a thicker mask by wetting the cube & dabbing it in areas you want to build up. Let dry, wipe off with a damp cloth, and follow up with moisturiser. Ensure the cube dries out between uses.

Face Oils

Add a drop or two to your fingers. In small circles, massage the oil into your face and remove any excess with a warm, damp cloth.
We recommend using within 6-9 months of purchase to ensure you are using the most fresh ingredients.

Facial Soaps

Wet the bar & your face. Apply the soap to a cloth, or directly to your face. Rinse and follow up with a moisturiser.
We recommend using within 6-9 months of purchase to ensure you are using the most fresh ingredients.

Grounding Oils

Apply the oils to your wrist, back of the neck, temples, or wherever you prefer and breathe in the essential oils to help calm, relax, centre, and ground yourself in the moment.
We recommend using within 9 months of purchase to ensure you are using the most fresh ingredients.

Hydrosols

In summer we recommend keeping your hydrosol in the fridge & spritzing your face when hot. You can also use it to help hydrate your skin, add it to your face mask powder, or even a gentle make up remover.
We recommend using within 6 months of purchase to ensure you are using the most fresh ingredients.

Lip Balms

Scented with minimal essential oils so it is safe to apply to your lips. We recommend using with 6 months of purchase to ensure the freshest ingredients are going onto your skin.
Tin: swirl your finger around the tin to melt the top layer and then apply to your lips
Tube: push from the bottom and apply directly to your lips.

Lotion Bars, Moisturising Creams, Body Balms & Bath + Body Oils

Lotion Bars: Warm the bar in your hands, and glide over your skin once the bar is soft. We recommend your skin be clean & dry before applying. During the winter months you may need to wait longer for the bar to soften. Due to the beeswax in the bar, it will feel a bit tacky & take longer for it to soak into your skin than a traditional moisturiser. You can dab off any excess oils that do not soak in. We recommend using the bar within 6 months of purchase to ensure ingredients are as fresh as possible.

Moisturising Creams: a traditional moisturiser that is suitable for hands, body & face. Apply to skin and rub in. A patch test is recommended if applying to the face as some people may be sensitive to the essential oils. We recommend using within 9 months of purchase to ensure you are using the most fresh ingredients.

Body Balms: scoop a small amount of body balm with your (clean!) finger and apply to the skin. These are jelly-like moisturisers that will become very soft on a very warm day. Keep on a cool and dry location, and use within 9 months of purchase.

Bath, Body & Shower Oils: add a pump (or more) to your bath & allow the oils to soak into your skin as you bathe. Beware when stepping out of the bath as it may be a little slippery. You can also apply the oil straight onto you skin as a topical moisturiser in or out of the shower. Due to the oils it will take longer to soak in than a traditional moisturiser. Dab any excess off with a warm wash cloth. We recommend using within 12 months of purchase to ensure you are using the most fresh ingredients.

Room + Linen Sprays

One of our newest creations made for both gently scenting linens and rooms.
Spray your desired amount around either a room or linen cupboard & enjoy the soft and fresh scent.
Depending on the essential oils used and the colour of your linens, they may discolour if sprayed repeatedly without washing.
Store out of direct sunlight.

Shampoo & Conditioner Bars

Shampoo Bars: Wet your hair & the bar. Rub the bar through your hair, and massage your scalp to create more thick lather. Rinse & follow up with conditioner. Ensure it's stored out of stagnant water when not in use.

Conditioner Bars: While your hair is under running water, run the bar through your hair from roots to tip until you activate the bar (you will feel the silky texture of a traditional conditioner). Massage your head and hair to ensure the conditioner coats the entire length of your hair. Let sit and rinse when ready.

Shave Soap

Recommended to use with a shave brush.
Wet your brush well, and build up a lather on the soap by running the brush in small circles. Once a thick lather is created, continue to build up more lather straight on your skin, or in a small bowl (we use an old tea cup). This should take no longer than a minute. Add a few drops of water at a time if the lather is not building as expected. Once a thick lather has been reached, you may shave away.
If you're having trouble with the shave brush, YouTube is a fantastic resource for taking you through step by step on how to build up a sufficient lather.
Ensure the bar dries out between uses.

Shower Steamers

1 cube = 1 shower
Pop a cube on the floor of your shower (but not right next to the drain!). As the water hits the cube, it will fizz and steam, releasing the essential oils & enveloping you and your bathroom in a divine smell that lingers even after you've finished showering.
Your cubes can also last more than one shower if you place them up and out of the direct stream of water. They may not smell as strong as compared to if the whole cube is used in one shower.
These cubes are not made to be used as a bath bomb. There are no moisturising ingredients, and the essential oils are too strong and may irritate the skin.
We recommend using steamers within 1 month of purchase to ensure the strongest scents.

Soaps

Soap bars can be used for your hands or body. Specifically formulated soaps may also be used for shaving or your face. Please ensure you test the bar before use all over to avoid any possible allergic reactions or sensitivities.
Before use, keep bars in a dark, dry place. Sunlight may fade the natural clays and botanicals used. The drawer or cupboard you store the bar in may take on the scent of the essential oils used in the soap.
Between uses, ensure the bar is kept from sitting in stagnant water. We recommend one of our many soap plates or dishes, or even a simple coated wire rack suctioned to the wall of your shower or bath.
Handmade soaps typically do not last as long as store bought soaps due to the different processes in making, however they are significantly more gentle and moisturising.

Crystal Soaps: You may remove the crystal before using, or allow it to fall off naturally (just make sure it can't fall down the drain!).

We recommend using within 6 months of purchase to ensure you are enjoying the strongest scents.

Sugar Scrubs

Both abrasive and moisturising, we recommend using a small amount for cleaning particularly dirty hands or feet. At the sink, scoop a small amount into your hands and scrub away. You may add a small amount of soap while you scrub to assist in washing away more stubborn dirt. Wash off after use - due to the ingredients it will leave your skin clean and moisturised. Please do not use on the face; the sugar crystals will damage your skin.
Store out of direct sunlight.

Washroom Drops

A better way to masks toilet smells than aerosols or matches. Strongly scented with citrus essential oils, drop half to a full pipette into the toilet bowl after flushing depending on the lingering smell.
Although we cannot confirm with 100% confidence, due to the natural and naturally derived ingredients used in this formulation, it should be safe to use in a septic system as they are readily biodegradable.
Store out of direct sunlight.
