About Us
ETC Body is a Queer and Disabled-owned business in the Darling Downs, specialising in handmade, sustainable, and minimal-waste body products designed to blend beauty, utility, and ethical values.
Unable to find affordable products in 2018, Eric learnt to make soap as a hobby. Now offering a wide range of products crafted with essential oils, their range includes soaps, lotions, shower steamers, hair care, and more. Committed to minimal-waste practices and inclusivity, ETC Body offers thoughtfully crafted, affordable products that prioritise the environment and community. Each creation embodies sustainability and mindful living, inviting customers to make choices that are gentle on the planet and rich in purpose.
More to the Story...
What We Do
ETC Body employs waste-minimisation and eco-friendly practices by using real ingredients purchased in bulk; only making what we expect to sell in a month; recyclable and/or compostable packing; and using compostable or recyclable mailers where possible.
What We Believe
There's a lot of things we believe in - transparency; genuine connection; fairness for all... the list goes on, but we want to keep everyone in the loop with our practices, beliefs, and thoughts. This is why we love sharing our yearly breakdowns that go into detail regarding our income, expenses, best sellers, and even where we ship our products to.
Our Profits
We have priced our products to ensure we can sell them at both a retail and wholesale price to customers and other businesses while staying afloat. It's a hard thing to balance, but we don't agree with customers having to pay through the nose for environmentally friendly products.
The Dream (TM)
We're there! The dream of having a shop has been realised! From 2022 - 2024 I was part of the Slowly Made Locals shop in Paddington. It was such a pleasure to be part of the amazing team that curated and ran the shop. Unfortunately we had to close the shop in December 2024, but we hope to be back in 2025!
We are also researching the possibility of becoming a social enterprise/not-for-profit in the future. This is the direction Eric believes the business should take as accessibility for everyone means we put people (and the community) before profits.

Hi, from Eric
I am autistic, and live with PTSD, OCD & fibromyalgia. I believe in balancing running a business with having a personal life, engaging in psychotherapy, and (proper) self-care.
I am a strong advocate for mental health & will always put my own health before the business.
I love learning new skills, and am constantly finding new hobbies to engage in. Making body products, ceramics & crochet are my lifelong obsessions, while I am also interested in needle punching, weaving, knitting, yarn dyeing, paper making, baking, photography, reading, and sewing.
I live with my husband in a tiny town halfway between Toowoomba & Warwick with my 2 cats, Osiris & Horus.
